About Us
SHADOWLANDS is a series of events that allows a World of Wonder to come to life. Everyone is encouraged to dress in either Period costume, Steampunk, Goth, Industrial or Pagan attire, or at the minimum PIB (Person In Black). It is loosely based around Wiccan holidays and infused with Left Hand Path spirituality but can encompass any theme, including Space, Industrial or Futuristic. A Shamanistic element is included which honors ritual, performance, music and dancing as the central focus of the event. The most important thing is to be yourself and allow others to be themselves, and to have fun!

Mental Health
Sadly, whenever there is a "Counterculture" or "Underground" community, it seems to be a place that attracts a lot of Personality Disordered Individuals. SHADOWLANDS is not the place to allow all your issues to "hang out" all over the other guests, the event organizers and so forth. Underground events are a badly needed form of social safety net and safety valve to release the pressures of living in the USA. As such, they are to be equally enjoyed by EVERYBODY THERE, and therefore not made into a bad place to be, by others issues. Gossiping, Badmouthing, Rumour-mongering, searching for things to be Offended by (hardcore SJW-ing) and being titillted and receiving Narcissistic Supply by Scapegoating a Targeted Individual, or using meltdowns or tantrums to get attention and try to control others - this behavior will not be tolerated. This is a fair warning to treat others as you would like to be treated, and if you have issues, get them taken care of BEFORE you socialize with others.
